What In-House Lawyers Want Outside Counsel To Keep In Mind

We regularly work with clients seeking more work from corporate legal departments. In recent years we’ve found smaller firms have advantages they can emphasize to great effect over Big Law competitors.

Before your firm formalizes any such effort, however, your lawyers should watch these videos reviewing basic trends and leading concerns of in-house counsel about their outside lawyers.  The videos are from a seminar held by Chambers last year.  In the video, in-house counsel talk about diversity, pitching, online promotion and entertainment expenses.

“Who are the people who are going to work on my case? Often they’re not even part of the sales pitch. I think that’s a mistake law firms make,”  said Silvio DeCarli of DuPont.
